More About Me
At age 24 I taught at Berklee College of Music in Boston for four years before moving to Los Angeles to work as an arranger, orchestrator, composer, and music copyist. The latter entailed working on over 600 films and countless TV shows as Head of the Music Library at Universal Studios. Movies include Back to the Future I-II-III, Spiderman I-II, Fried Green Tomatoes, Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, The Green Mile, Finding Nemo AND Dory; and TV shows include Murder She Wrote, Simon & Simon, Magnum P.I., and Amazing Stories. Did I mention being one of the composers for the Batman Animated Series?
I’m currently writing a memoir about my career in Hollywood, titled “What—And Give Up Show Business?” Have I got stories to tell!
Along the way, I spent three months traveling through France, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Germany on a motorcycle. I’ve also been to Lima, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and much of Greece.
In 2001 I started a web magazine called TheScreamOnline.com for art, photography, literature, music, film. I’m currently writing a novel about alchemy, set in 1352 London. In my spare time… uh, what spare time?
